To keep my clients private information, just that... private. I have dreamed up a fun solution! It will be the Momma/Honey hear me, while Online board.
I started with a cardboard clipboard. There is a cartoon of a little boy that says mom, momma, mamma, mommy, over and over again until his mom answers him...my kids do this to me all the time to be funny, so this is the idea for the board... I wrote on the clipboard with markers, pens and vinyl, and then I had my girls write some too. But then I thought wait how cute to have them write them all. I did leave the vinyls on, but I used alcohol to remove the rest of the writing...and lets begin again.
(this was the first board)The next board:
Using my ruler, I found the middle of the board, marked it with an X with a pencil. I grabbed my drill and drilled holes two inches from the middle on both sides. I sanded the wholes with fine sand paper, for smoothness. Then I used painters tape and taped the clip of the clipboard off. I used Rust-oleum Primer Spray Paint and sprayed a thin layer on the board
Then sprayed multiple layers of yellow on the clipboard. After the board was dry I pealed off the tape and vinyl with my exacto knife. My kids wrote my many names on the board. To seal the board I sprayed a thin coat of Rust-oleum Clear. Added ribbon, bling and attached a basket (small wire basket from Target in the business supply area) with paper and post-its. I screwed an eyelet screw into the wall, fed some twine back threw the eyelet and the clipboard, then tied ribbon...the colors I chose are favorites of my kids : )

How it works:
MOM/Honey, when you get a minute = Post-it note message left on board and a light tap on the door.
MOM/Honey, urgent! = paper note under the door and a light tap on the door.
When I am able to shut the computer, and/or hang up from a call, I will know there is a message waiting for me. And I will communicate with them, as soon as possible.
Thanks for stopping by!
