A little twist on Christmas Trees

These topsy turvy little trees, turned out better than I thought they would.  So cute and whimsical!   They will be perfect for Cards and Scrapbooking!

Super simple, I took a dark and light colored cardstock and cutout triangles.  I placed the dark triangles first and the placed the light on top of it overlapping.  After that was complete I added some stamps and embossing powder.  And walllla I have trees with personality!

A package of surprise

I received such a fun little prize today in the mail.  An envelope full of handmade bookmarks.  How exciting it was to open that bulging little envelope full of new goodies.

My swap group distributed our bookmarks.  I had a great envelope full of 10 new handmade bookmark corners.  They are just so fun.

It started me thinking maybe I will send small items to my friends and downline at random.  Who knows, how that would make them feel?!

Another Day in Bed

Too lay down and have my sinuses pressurize and begin coughing or continue surfing through this miserable thing.  I have got some great ideas, connected with friends on FB and watched shows and movies I didn't know existed.   I am sick of being sick.

But, why not read you ask?  Well there is so much pressure on my eyes that it actually hurts to read...like now it just takes the fun out of it...lol  I really need to finish reading "American on Purpose", love love love.  Craig, my sexy american/scot I will have to see you tonight during the show.

Well now to relax and drowned my sinuses in a hot bath.  Ta for now...

Is it wrong?

I have a pair of neighbors that have smiled while facing us but, as soon as, they are behind us they talk about our family and are really quite cruel. Our other neighbors have told us of their nastiness but, they don't know we know about them. I know this is drama....but I feel like I should tell them, "we know what you have tried to do to us".

I feel guilty having them stand before me and act as though nothing is wrong. We don't harbor any ill will towards them but, I would be embarrassed if it was me and I am embarrassed for them. If you can't say something directly to someone, don't say it at all.
So we know what you did and what you said, while you stand there and try to pretend we are great friends....lol :)~~~~~

Spring has Sprung

I don't believe I have ever wanted to see my little bulbs, push out against the soil for a peak at the sky, so badly! I am not sure what has happened this winter but, I have had enough already. Everything is dirty and brown, I need the wonderful shades of green again.

Oh to work in the yard, pull the unwanted intruders from their rooted resting spot. Feel the grass padding under my knees, and the gritty brown earth under my fingertips. The fluttering whispers of the butterfly, the sweet chirps of the song birds, and the warmth of summer.

I am impatiently waiting Spring, please don't be late!

Freedom of Speech

I was an American today!

I attended a Tea party today...my first. It turned out the rally was an anti Obama rally. I was so disappointed. Not against policy, bills, actions but against our President...himself.
"Get Chicago out of the White House", many signs had written on them and "No Obama care" on most. There were no people sharing the oppositions in their faces or caring signs against what they were saying.

Is this what these tea parties are about? Against our President, where is the respect the man and the office should receive? If you hate the idea of Americans so much...get a passport.

After I left this rally, shaking my head. I drove down the road to a Support Health Care Reform rally.

Now at this rally, were many peeps of all walks of life and many people to voice the opposition. Actually, right in the face of many others.

But just because I believe something or like something different than you do, doesn't make me right and you wrong. It means we have different opinions. Why not value each opinion but have our own? We are not talking values on this one...just policy.

I want to give Obama a chance to see what he can do with the messes and ideals that he was handed. He honestly can't do anything worse. The United States will still be the United States after he leaves office, that will never change. But we need to try different things to clean our messes up. Turn off your radio stations and stop making these loud mouth men rich. They spread hate and laugh at us all the way to the bank.

Thank god we all have a voice and we have the right to gather and protest. Up with America and hail to the Chief!!!!

The beginning

I have never blogged before so this is new for me...but as my father always said...its a Piece of Cake. People and life seem to be going down hill, we don't fight for each other anymore. Drivers push you out of the way and some think their time is more important than anyone else in line. So this will be my venting area, to release my frustrations of life and mankind.

Well, I have been diagnosed with PCOS, never heard of it...me either. Still learning but oh what fun. Diagnosed with AADD a couple of years ago, but I feel like another person while I am on the medications...so I have chosen to be very strict with my yoga and worship and not ingest man made chemicals. There is no room for laziness :)
